Advice on Choosing a Memphis area Neighborhood

Whether you’re new to the Memphis area or looking for your third or fourth house, or even a vacation home, the old adage still holds true: the most important thing to remember is location, location, location!

Determining where you want to live, a new subdivision or an old, established neighborhood, the distance you’ll be commuting, streets, highways and public transportation, quality of schools, nearby shopping, public parks, churches, medical facilities and other requirements combine to make location the number one priority in a home purchase.

If you’ve lived in the Memphis area for some time, or possibly most of your life, you’ll have a fairly good knowledge of where you want to live. However, if you’re moving from out of town, you’ll need to do a thorough investigation before deciding where you want to live.

Here is where you may want to start:

1. Get an overview of Memphis TN and all of the surrounding towns, suburbs, and communities by browsing through our links for each of these areas on our home page at Bluff City Real Estate.

2. The Memphis Chamber of Commerce will tout the business and commercial segments,

3. The Bluff City Memphis Links page will tell you about attractions, entertainment, local businesses, media, community organizations, and much more.

4. The City of Memphis website will supply tax information, public transportation and city services information.

In fact, there’s hardly any facet of our community that isn’t covered somewhere on the Internet or within our website.

You may have further questions regarding different suburbs and communities, and we will be glad to answer your questions.

If you are ready to search for your new home or need professional representation, please call us.
