This is being converted into the new University of Memphis school of law building. This will make it much more convenient for both student and faculty to be in the thick of the law practices in downtown Memphis. In addition, the nearby Confederate Park is being renovated to include a walkway between the park and the new law school. This Development Corporation has also written and provided to the Memphis city council, an accepted Memphis Riverfront Master Plan ». This extensive plan covers improvements and developments for the promenade, and Beale Street Landing areas as well as future development of Downtown Memphis TN real estate and businesses along the Mississippi Riverfront.
